Memories, Antics, and Other Funny Stuff

Readers should be warned that the contents of this section are not in chronological order and are as strange and random as the thoughts and ideas that bounce around in my brain. In fact, some people may find similar memories in their own lives, while others will be happy that such events hadn’t occurred in their lives. All things being equal, I simply hope that you will find these stories funny, or at least interesting. Life is full of humiliating moments, but learning to laugh when you stumble, sing off-key, or goof up when others are with you is a blessing not to be underestimated. The Catholic parish my family attended when I was a kid also had a kindergarten through eight grade school run by a devote order of nuns. There were lots of times that were embarrassing simply because I was out of step with the rest of the world around me.
